Thought I'd share a slightly long tale, but with a happy ending:

Peterborough LRO Show tickets are booked through Ticketplan

We were booked as a family of 3 for camping but my son developed Covid and was actually quite poorly despite being double-jabbed.

I'd purchased the 'Refund Protection' which turns out to be worthless, and because Ticketplan's customer services telephone is suspended due to Covid Evil or Very Mad everything has to be done via email, most of which don't attract a response despite intermittent reminders of how busy they are

So I finally submitted a refund claim in a format that was acceptable, only to be told they required a 'Doctors certificate'. This of course goes against Government guidelines (Gp's don't need to be wasting their time doing certificates in a Pandemic) but I obtained one and sent this to them

And then they requested proof of my son's positive Covid test result - the implication being that the GP could be lying on the sick note!

At that point I used www.ceoemail.com to find that this shyster company has 2 directors. Each received a fairly strongly worded email from me this morning, along with 'delivery and read' receipts, suggesting that I'd be contacting LRO International about the poor customer care etc etc. I may also have 'fessed up' that I am also a retired GP Whistle

Hey presto, 36 minutes precisely after the first 'read receipt' my refund has been approved!

This www.ceoemail.com website has helped with a few similar such issues that a Grumpy Old Man such as me faces from time to time and I hope may be of use just in case there is possibly another Grumpy Old Man on this forum Laughing

Cheers
Andy

(PS even happier ending, I did end up going camping at Peterborough on my own, with the dog, using a ticket purchased from a member of this forum though I didn't tell Ticketplan that Whistle ) 2011 2.4 White 110 CSW LHD

It’s great, I used it to contact Ovo Energy who have been sitting on my FITs payments for solar generation after 2 quarters without payments to me being made. Ovo took over the domestic businesses of SSE but keep very quiet about it, they have a tiny note on the bottom of your bill/invoice that states “Ovo Energy trading as SSE” but I had only hours of hanging on on the phone number. Email reply made excuses about not being able to carry out 2 yearly meter verification etc etc so I told them that, at their request, two quarters running I hadn’t just sent in the generation meter reading I had sent in photos of the meter. I resent the August photo to the contact and 24 hours later the £600 unpaid FITs was paid into my bank account……….. I had in my initial email threatened them with court proceedings as they were in breach of contract as their invoices state “we will endeavour to pay within the next quarter” which they had not done. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
