Chaps
I've had a seemingly regular problem of my 2011 2.4TDCI Puma losing power and erratic stalling. Already replaced VCV, cleaned MAF and MAP, checked battery earthing, under drivers seat fuses/relays etc. New filters. No error codes on OBD reader... So I have decided to change the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor This looks the right one (DENSO 55PP05-01): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253437860242?ha...SwUOBdDiKI Before I order...could anyone confirm please? Thanks for the info llessur
I have ordered the part, and also the thread sealant. I'm assuming I'll need to re- prime the fuel circuit and bleed all the air out after changing the fuel rail sensor. Fingers crossed. This has been going on a while now, and I'm really hoping to get my confidence back! It played-up in the M6 roadworks the other day, was terrifying surrounded by the lorries with nowhere to go (no hard shoulder). Hiya MartinK,
I know this an old post but did this solve your issue as I have the same symptoms and looking to replace the HPS - did you have to run any learn cycles with software or was it just plug and play? Thanks Matt |

Hi Matt.
No...in the end it was a succession of knackered VCV's... https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic85644.html?highlight=vcv Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Thank you, how frustrating I've change my VCV a few months ago and all seems fine (plus a VCV learn) - hope the FPS works now
