Do you have an OBD plug? If so suggest you plug in to see if if has any codes? Also what gearbox and T-case are you running with it? 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

Yes it has an obd port. No codes stored.
Its running td5 r380 box. Transfer box is my original 1.4. The high/low range switch wiring is bridged so thinks its in high range all the time |

Hello, I see some orange flags on your setup. 1.- the TD5 needs to get 4bar fuel pressure AFTER the regulator, usually 6 bar before it, perhaps your inline filter is loosing some pressure. 2.- The MAF NEEDS to be connected it doesnt control the EGR it measures the air flow and injects more or less fuel accordingly, if it is disconnected then it will reduce power and work on an standard map. 3.- Also check the Turbo pressure perhaps its low Augusto Defender 110 TD5 2001 Discovery 4 TDV6 |

MAF is not really needet, TD5 is able to run without, but it is better to have a good working one. More important is MAP sensor in engine intake - working and CLEAN. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

there is an important power difference between a good MAF and a cheap (only one filament) or bad one Augusto

Going to order a vdo maf sensor. The tuner said it only needed for egr so actually running it disconnected wont hurt. Now getting conflicting advice.
Im getting good fuel flow after the regulator and the 044 pump is capable of 8 bar pressure if needed. |

TD5 EURO2 engine is using MAP only to control the engine, EURO3 is using MAP and MAF, and in case of MAF failure it switch back to EURO2 strategy - MAP only.
Good working MAF or totally not working MAF is "OK" - engine is getting right or no output from MAF. Biggest problem is only partly working MAF outputing bad vaules - this is hard for engine to recognize between good and bad, and sometimest the engine management is confused, resulting in low power. It is not uncommon to have MAF outputing low values. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo |

So presume a 10p is euro 2 and 15p is euro 3.
The new maf arrived today so will get on and fit tomorrow and see if it makes a difference. |

Yes, 15P is Euro 3. When tuned, the difference of good working and not connected MAF is even bigger. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo
