That looks neat Jools. Do you know where you got it from, other than Lapland? 2005 Td5 90 XS

I didn’t realise this was possible for that type of remote fob, I look forward to hearing where you got it from

I like the look of that key as well.
PS. I can’t see your fuel filler cap key on the new key ring, if its not under the new key don’t forget to put it on the new ring or you will have a sinking feeling when you go to fill her up with diesel |

Well I got it from Father Christmas, but I have it on good authority that his supplier is
https://remotekey.co.uk/land-rover-keys-re...erallinone Initially I was given the fob by mistake, but a call to them and the replacement was here in days - cut from my key number and works perfectly. very nice people to speak to on the phone. It also has the added bonus of not falling out of the ignition barrel during a hard left turn - so apparently - they don't all do that! TBH, I rarely lock the fuel filler so I generally leave the key in the glove box - I've got a startech on an optimill boss, but it's not convenient to take the steering wheel everywhere so I need to keep my steering lock key otherwise I'd be down to one. |

Though I can't help wandering why my Range Rover (which is a year older) manages to do all of this with just one folding key, that's not an inconvenience at all - I mean, they obviously had those kind of bits available at the factory right?

nice, but "will work on all Land Rover Defender built from 1995 to 2012"
So my MY15 isn't old enough to have a modern set of keys - just saved £99.98 |

They do a version from 2012 to 2014 as well https://remotekey.co.uk/land-rover-defende...placement/
I thought the 2015 had a more modern integrated fob/ key anyway. |

Unfortunately it's even fatter than the pre 2012 fobs. https://firstworldmotoring.files.wordpress...g_4068.jpg To reduce the volume of our second set of keys, I've had a smaller key made recently: Click image to enlarge The guy cutting the key was perplexed that there is no transponder in the key and asked if my car was an oldtimer In a way it is, I said. |

I enviously followed JoolsB's path and got one of those nifty single keys.
I can only echo that the service received was excellent. Sent in a picture of my present key and got a perfectly cut key in the mail. The programming was very simple and took less than 30 seconds. A truly happy customer here, just in case anyone else is looking at this option. |

Reviving this thread with a related question, when you programmed the all in one key, did you use their module to do it?
Does anyone know if we can use a GAP IIDTool BT unit to program their all in one keys? Looking to getting one myself but don't fancy paying a lot for the module they rent you when I can program the standard FOBs using the IIDTool |

Hello, sorry this is my first post and I don't know if this is the correct place for it. I have a 2015 Defender with only 1 key fob. I have bought a replacement fob however have been told that it needs programming properly. Land Rover say they can't do it for the 2015/16 models. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
