What model is your defender? If it’s a TDCI, the evaporator is an absolute nightmare to get to!

If you end up leaving anything in place, evaporator for example, seal any open ports/connections so the internals don’t get dirty and can then be used again by you or a future owner. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I believe the OP is talking about a Td5 and earlier below dash unit. It would indeed free up a lot of space if removed.
Most components have been mentioned, just an air dryer bolted to the left mudguard (or wing if you like) - unsure if it would be on opposite side on LHD vehicles. TD5. Yes, correct Dinnu.
It seems pretty straight forward. I managed to find the install instructions so I’ll just reverse. The system seems to sit independent of any systems on the truck itself so other than the power tap that should be it. |
