No more second key starting 1st October deliveries :)
Just got informed by the dealer that starting 1st of October, all new Land Rovers will be delivered only with 1 key Smile The second key will be also present, but just the case of the key. The micro chip inside it will be delivered on a future date, when things will get back to normal Smile)

Strange times we are living.

Hi all,
1st post I've been lurking for awhile.
Just been into my dealers today as June I placed an order for a 110 XS in Godwana stone with side steps electronic tow bar terrain response 2 and 11" screen, saleman confirmed the same 1 working key and as and when the required chips arrive 2nd key will be activated!.
I was due to take delivery for the end of November but today(as yet no build date) I was asked if I'd be happy with an analogue dash i could possibly get the vehicle this year!. I'm in no rush so happy to wait for the correct spec, which I was promptly as it stands is looking to be very late 2022 into early 2023
Also enquired into getting tow loops fitted and was informed not possible as its not on the XS configurator!, but might come as a standard followed by I will check and get back to you..🤣.

Tell your dealer that they are talking SH*TE about the towing eyes, I got that in June 2020 for my First Edition and contacted Customer services who assured me that they are available for all models and that at the time there was a glitch in the part computer that said only for X versions! LRCS gave the young lad in my local dealers a right telling off for not checking with the part office first! Tell them that if they don’t want to supply them that you’ll buy them online from PowerfulUK who sell the genuine item not copies. A few people here have fitted them themselves too, it isn’t too difficult apparently Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

My S spec is in today to get them fitted, I bought the full kit from Powerful UK. £97, though dealer is taking £281 for fitting after initially quoting £52.80, not sure what they thought they were fitting Laughing 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Won’t be long at this rate that JLR will close the dealerships, partner with IKEA and will sell you a new Defender as a Complete Knock Down flat pack, as in, build it your self.

Hope they supply more than one Allen key…. Whistle

Hi Tim,

Yes did mention the same, all the defenders they had in the showroom all had them fitted!. Interestingly the 110 SE had the black plastic finishing facia around the loops along with the 2 90s but the 110 V8 with all the bells and whistle didn't and definitely looked half finished.
Powerfuluk is the way to go but sadly I think I'm done with the DIY when I've spending 60k+ on a new vehicle. Although I've plenty of time to think about it..🤣🤣🤦‍♂️

I also got mine from Powerful UK and got the dealer to fit them when they did the tow bar, no extra charge.

Sat Rat , did you really mean 2022 till 2023 for your order , that’s a hell of a wait, ie 15 months considering it’s been ordered a while. Mine was expected in December, I’m willing to give it 3 or 4 months after that, but any longer I’ ll probably cancel . 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Whiterdesign,

Sadly not a typo yes salesman said yes late 22 to early 23 for my22 XS spec order. I'm prepared to wait at least until March 22, and then I'll have a rethink on what to do!.

Snap. Ordered back in April. Can take it or leave it and happy using my T5 Cali as a workhorse for the dogs.

I'll wait until LR ask for a price increase and then walk due to their inability to supply the vehicle. I'll probably buy a D4 or D5 once the prices drop back down (keeping a watching brief on SI6).

Just cant see me back in an X5

I enquired about changing my 90 for a 90HT, dealer said I’d be doing well to get it for September 2022. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

But I wonder if the longer wait is to do with the diesels? The Dealer has confirmed that the P400 hasn't been affected by supply issues. So I'm just waiting for a dash.......

Maybe by the time a dash becomes available the engine will be out of stock Rolling with laughter

Supposedly the D200,250 and 300 are the same engine with just a map change, which you pay a lot for.So its easy money for Landrover to go with the bigger engines. I know the D300 has larger brakes but that is the only difference 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Because if this semi conductor issue I’ve heard that several manufacturers are now doing this or considering it for the short term. And some are also reverting back to analog dash facia’s. Ride like you stole it!!
If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do…
