England 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Orkney Grey
There is something just right about a well used series 3, I like it. I imagine good solid but well patina’d examples are becoming hard to find. Keep it as is (other than the wheels)

Looking a little bit tidier now (and yes....the unloved wheels are still there!)
Passed it's first mot since 2013 a couple of weeks ago with just 3 advisories which was good, so it's taxed and on the road now. The list of things do to doesn't ever seem to get shorter, but that is half the point of having it!

I like the offset of these wheels with 235-85 tyres they fill the arches nicely. I think defender rims may be greater offset than series rims but it will still be less than these. If they stay a coat of limestone is worth a thought though, 2 need painting anyway.

or to be in keep with series wheels from JLR

That is a nice late SIII which were factory-fitted with (wrongly called) Defender door mirrors and plastic bungs in the wings where the wing mirrors used to be fitted.

Ah, the wheels debate.
Will it ever be resolved?

Here's what my 1984 Ninety looked like when I got it home:

And now, after an originality-freak has been to work:

Everyone has different opinions, but maybe this will help the OP decide?

Like them or loathe them, the wheels are staying. Though 1 doesn't seal and needs replacing, they seem to be et+10 or11 and the nearest I can find are et+8, out of stock and have been for months now!
