I had a similar issue on a previous Disco with dealer fitted rubbing strips. They had persuaded me to fork out for some paint protection coating. Naturally this doesn't come off when you apply the solvent to clean the car before you stick whatever it may be onto it.

Ever since then I've fitted rubbing strips etc myself and never had any peel back. Defender D350 X-Dynamic HSE 110 MY25 Carpathian Grey
