Connectors for Winch Power Cables
I am investigating options for connectors for 40sqmm cable for winch power and earth so I can remove the winch without unbolting from either battery or winch end. Clearly an Anderson connector is an option but I am looking for a single pole option with a smaller plug (for passing through holes).
Has anyone used welding cable connectors? Like these:

Twist lock and copper connectors so should give decent current pass through and they are rated for larger cables (up to 95sqmm).

Hi bodstruck,
I've mounted my winch in a bracket that plugs into a receiver hitch, so I've been using an Anderson connector (SB-350, 350A) under the bonnet (it's also useful for jump starting). The winch is only mounted on the 90 when I'm using it as it obscures the number plate, so opening the bonnet to plug it in is no problem.
The welding Dinse plugs should be fine, just use the correct size for your cable. I have them on my mig welder and have no problems, but then they are not left permanently connected.

Have used din plugs for years on recovery vehicles for the winch, we then also use same supply for jump leads so double purpose
