I'm after a new head unit for my recently purchased truck.
Just ordered a double din dash kit to replace the old single din unit. The misses would like a reverse camera so buying the Optimill Number plate light / camera unit. Be nice if it'll hook up to the above and link to my Samsung phone for music, phone & Sat Nav. The previous owner has uprated the speaker system with Alpine stuff and a small subwoofer box thing attached to the back of the cubby box. What do you guys recommend? TIA 👍🏻 |

The uprated speakers and Alpine sub on the rear of the cubby is all original equipment with the upgraded audio pack. Darren

The subwoofer is a Kenwood unit it seems with weird controller in the cubby box 🤔

I use an alpine 702d think it is, not wired up camera yet as wanted a better in car phone connection and this has car play and worked flawlessly Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.

Pretty decent reviews across the board and some good YouTube reviews. Just need to figure out if the screen would be impaired by the top part of the dash. |

Surely that wont fit in the double din console and if fitting to the standard will obscure the switches? Looking on with interest. |

Hello
I fitted a double din unit and went for a Pioneer head unit with Android auto / Dab + (probably around 2 or 3 years old now mind) https://www.halfords.com/technology/car-au...09346.html Its great I have wired in a reversing camera (camera is hidden under number plate plinth) also fitted a better reversing light to the plinth as I don't like drilling the car I used all the same holes. 
Is android and apple auto / carplay. so can play music via my Amazon Music, uses Waze, Google maps, reads out texts, you can talk to it to text people / phone etc. Its also hooked up to my Amp(s) and extra speakers / sub. All in all it's a nice bit of kit
