Just bought a shiny red TD5 2003 5 door and am in the process of doing a few bits to it. The seats, particularly the drivers one are pretty shot. Does anyone know if L322 rangy seats fit? They look a bit bulky. Any other suggestions for upgrading the seats? Any other makes fit fairly easily?
Thanks |

Just get new cushions and re-trim the one you have. They are quite comfy a easy to do yourself.

If you are on a budget, try with one of these (match them to your rears).
https://www.paddockspares.com/parts-and-ac...-kits.html I have installed a set, and was very easy to do. Follow this video. In the process, I also spray painted the frame, so they look like new once done. My only complaint is that they offer a bit too much lumbar support. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Lots of threads on here about seats and various options depending on how much you want to spend......newer 'take-outs' work well

Thanks very much everyone… much appreciated. I had a very early 110 (1983) which I fitted Volvo seats into. Made a big difference in that. I’m about to put that on eBay as a project for someone as it’s got a galv chassis and I’m never going to get round to doing it myself! Never seem to have time anymore. Thanks again.

i remember one of the lads on pug 306.net building up a 110, that his parents gave to him, I think they switched to a TD5 or the puma?? Anyway the 110 had been in the family for a good while, so they were not keen on getting rid, So he took it on and decided to give it a major over haul. Long story short, He decided to bin off his peugeot 306 that had an engine conversion in, but he loved the front seats, and they were in great condition, ( can i hell remember if the car was a 5 or a 3 door) anyway he used the seats from the 306, might be worth looking at some of the french sporty cars. I think he just did the same thing, that is done with the cobra seats. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

interesting...I've fitted Volvo seats in the past, but think I'm going to stick to a set of XS seats from a replacement job. Should be quicker and let me access the battery etc better I hope.

My 2005 TD5 seats are really comfy so if they are the same I don't know why you want to change just fix them up and keep it traditional you won't regret it Puma are no better in my opinion. |

Apologies for adding in here but hopefully it's relevant to the original topic
The side hinge/pivot plate on the drivers seat (interior side) on my TD5 90 has split ... ! The seat is usable but it doesn't look like you can by it separately - would I have to get a complete Botton/runner/hinge/lever frame to replace ? |
