1997 Defender 90 300 Tdi CSW Firenze Red

Options on alpine windows that have been painted..

So my roof has been sprayed in black raptor paint and I thought the alpine window glass had just been covered as you can see slight daylight from the inside but upon removing some of the seal it looks as though the alpine window glass has been sprayed over in a black spray paint

Is it now a case of new glass? Or is there anyway to remove the paint from the glass without scratching the glass as its the green shaded glass.

I'm sure a good soaking in thinners would get it off fairly easily

I was thinking that but would it affect that green tint?

2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black

Glass is pretty hard to damage with solvents. I’d try using thinners/gun wash to start with. Brake fluid is another option, I use that strip paint off my models if I cock up. Wear a mask with a charcoal filter though as the fumes from all of the above are not pleasant. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
