United Kingdom 2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
Gearbox mounts squidgy
I've not got another 90 to compare it with, but I was greasing the propshafts yesterday and when i shake the propshaft the gearbox bushes flex and the whole gearbox moves. Nothings broken they are just a bit... squidgy! Are they supposed to flex?
I tried it with the 80" but its rock solid when i do that. (better designed on the 80"!) 1953 80"

Malta 2012 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Santorini Black
Yes, I also feel that the Puma mounts very soft. But this way they reduce vibrations transmitting to the chassis (which eventually would go in the cab). 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
