Genuine spring part number/colour (sorry - I have searched)
Sorry folks - its a spring colour-code question. I know this is one that immediately gets pointed towards the search function, and I've used it - as well as the chart here: http://www.bilashakaflowers.com/LandroverSprings.htm and the one here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/post468110.html and I've checked the parts diagrams here: https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...ings_44791 and here: https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-r...ings_44805

...but I'm seeing numerous contradictions and a lot of the info is for older models.

Can anyone confirm the correct part numbers and colour codes for genuine LR springs as fitted to the last (2015) UK-spec 90 Station Wagons, most likely a high-spec XS if that makes any difference? I'm about to buy a "take off" set and they've asked me to confirm I'm happy with the colour code and I just don't have an answer for them

I'm not sure whether this is a help or hindrance but the picture below shows a complete set of take-off springs from an end of line Adventurer 90, which I fitted to my 1992 90. The rears are RKB500270 (white/green/pink). I'm not sure about the fronts though as I can't match any of the colours on the LRW page that you've linked to Confused

Here you go. But I have been searching their specifications (length and rate), but could not find that data.

Hi both - thank you very much.

LRA - it was one of your older posts on take off springs that triggered the purchase. Yes - that is helpful, very. I was just told they're take-offs from late model 90s without specifying the model - 'usually high-end Station Wagons' - so at least I know now what was fitted to a late Adventurer which would be a good match to my 90SW.

The charts above and linked in my original post don't include the colour combinations from the last of the line Defenders - hence the confusion.

I've took a flyer and have ordered them now - I'll report back when they land in a couple of days and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they're the right spec for my 90.

That's great.

It appears from Dinnu's list that REB500220 (red/green/orange) should be passenger side only but I think LR abandoned handed springs some time ago. Darren

They’ve just arrived and are exactly the same colour codes as the ones you’ve posted above Darren. Really reassuring to know they’re the same spec as fitted to a 90 Adventurer. Means they’ll be perfect to go with mine.

I’ve already ordered a complete set of Superpro bushes, so just need to compile a shopping list of all the remaining bits (galv retainers/rings/turrets plus possibly the part numbers for isolators and fasteners.

I've updated the names of parts in the above diagrams, as the spring colours were in comments in the individual parts pages but not seen from the diagram pages. Also the applicability should now show correctly depending on the VIN loaded into the diagram.

Hope that helps in future. LR Workshop

Replacing my defender 90s rear springs have new ones here and unsure which way the rubber should sit top or bottom? See these have different spacing between spring coils than what I'm replacing my old springs a were all same but read on forum these are progressive ones

If anyone can help or check which that would be much appreciated
