OK bear with me, I've considered I think every type of wheel available for my 110.
From the 007 twin cab pick up type with huge Tyree to Steels and everything in between, I've had 16" sawtooths for years but then have come round to thinking I would just change to 18" and new tyres.. Hence my thread about tyres. Now I start searching for ET10 18" sawtooths and find these.... in 20" https://4x4tyres.co.uk/product/20-x-9-oem-...lack-et35/ However ET 35 So before I get flamed what tyres would suit? searching defenders with 20" wheels I found this picture, I think a forum members? they hardly look low profile so still a 55 / 60 profile maybe ? Click image to enlarge No other reason other than a bit different, I'm lucky my defender is one among a few cars I can use so a hard ride, off road etc doesn't phase... thoughts? I'm guessing most will think.... |

I had a Disco II that came with 20 inch wheels and the ride was awful. Changed them for standard 18's and it was hugely improved.
Personally, whenever I see a Defender on very large wheels it makes me think of this: Click image to enlarge Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Have to agree, I think unless you need to go 20" for bigger brakes for a huge engine, then personally not keen, I think 18in is more than big enough. However, SMC Auotmotive do a decent looking 20in rim. 4x4 Fabrications had them on offer over the weekend. James

Hello
I've seen the smc ones but not shiny just mat finish...plus not keen on the smc engraved on the rim The 20" sawtooth I thought would look more oem and a bit different... Interesting I've just swapped 20" wheels on a full fat RR for 22" and cannot tell any difference..but that rides on air.... It's all relative I can take the series out if I want the 110 to feel comfy |
