Brake Fluid level warning on vehicle two weeks old?
My Defender has only done 300 miles and my phone had flagged up a warning telling me that the brake fluid level is low.

'loss of braking in one or both brake circuits may be imminent. Check and top up brake fluid reservoir, using recommended fluid. If the warning message remains do not drive the vehicle until the break fault is rectified. Seek qualified assistance before continuing.'

Has this happened to anyone else? What do you think?

I checked the brake fluid - it was fine, but the apps (i have both the new and the old one) still told me my brakes could go at any moment. Suffice to say I turned the car on, moved it about on the drive and voila! Suddenly the apps are reporting that everything is fine again. A bit of a worry but never mind. Rolling Eyes

I've found the apps sometimes do go a little wrong - e.g. telling me the car is unlocked when it is locked and alarmed etc. Again another worry you don't want if you are parked up in a city centre etc.

PS - when I opened the engine, I noticed one of the caps holding down the panel that needs removing to access the brake fluid was missing - so I've dropped the dealer an email and asked for a replacement cap.

Hi, make sure your Land Rover remote app is up to date with the latest update. I have had two updates in 6 months ownership and now on version 2.7 they usually state ‘general stability improvements & bug fixes’.
