Raptor Eng. Dash Pod
Curious to know if anyone on here has a puma dash pod from raptor engineering installed. Struggling to find any review, decent pictures, or videos. If you do have one I'd love to know your thoughts, particularly with fit, finish and integration. If possible maybe some cheeky pictures too Smile

Cheers Stuart

I’ve got one. I like it. I have a voltmeter, 2x USB, 1x cig socket all in a Blue Sea panel in it, plus a RAM ball mount for my tablet. Quality and fit is good. The one thing I’m not happy with is the mounting method. It mounts to the middle of the dash top which is not not especially rigid and is really hard to access because of the HVAC ducts. When I get chance I’m going to see if I can find a more solid way to mount it. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Thanks Bluest! Thumbs Up

Would be going for the full gauge setup to monitor the Cummins. Is it that difficult that you'd recommend installing whilst the dash is completely dismantled? Was thinking about doing it a couple months down the line to shave a little money but could always leave them absent of gauges until I've pocketed enough to purchase the Smiths classic gauges I'm ogling.

I have no experience with the puma dash but do you know if it's much harder than a TD5's? I've lost count the amount of times I took my old defenders apart. Stuart

It would be ideal to do it with the dash out. I would put a strip of aluminium or something under the dash where it screws through to stiffen it up, use nuts and bolt instead of screws so you can tighten it down properly. Should be good then. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Just thought I'd upload some images of the Raptor Engineering Puma Dash Pod seeing as there none on the internet:

Overall I have to say the build quality far exceeded my expectations although I have no idea as to why they were so low in the first place Snigger The brushed finish on the face is very nice and its a solid piece of kit. I will probably retrim the body but not the face so it's nice that it's held with bolts. Thumbs Up

Just a bloody shame it can't house my pressure/temp gauge Big Cry I'll have to come up with another solution for that... Question

That’s a shame, it’s time like this being handy with 3d printer would be useful as could make a spacer set the front panel out far enough for the gauge. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I could probably whip a 3D printed spacer up but I'm not sure I'd be happy with the finish, plus it would stick out something like ~20 mm. I'm now considering interchanging it with the stock temp/fuel gauge in the puma but I'm unsure of spacing behind it. My other thought is putting it down by the knee where people often put those switch panels. Stuart
