I’m in the clear too. Although it seems like my VIN falls in between some of the ranges, so I wonder if this is diesel specific as mine is a petrol...

They failed to get mine on in time at Guy Salmon (they also broke one) - so shoved another one (in its sleeve) in the car at handover - its still in my garage not fitted yet. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history) |

Another "heritage" feature! The TDCi Defender has been doing this for years, with the gasket failing, the turboe flange warping, manifold studs pulling out, and even the flange breaking off the downpipe altogether, but never once was there a recall for the problems.
I hope that it is encouraging that Landrover is starting to take issues of this kind seriously, if so it is a definite step in the right direction. |

Seems the EU Recall notice has been published a second time - the only difference I can see is perhaps the issue is common to more vehicles than the first notification?

Maybe phase the fix out gradually? It took a while to repair mine as the bolt fixings were on back order. The service department said it wasn’t classed as a major recall and to use my vehicle as I usually would.
