Only real answer is: check your own vehicle.
My October 2014 build (2015MY) 90 XS didn't have it, but some people on here have reported it in place on lower spec models! Larger cubby does not have holes ready for the plate, no. If wiring is missing you need my retrofit loom: https://fnltd.co.uk/shop/defender-alpine-s...-p120.html 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Does the loom simply route down the transmission tunnel under the carpet ??
Just wondering how much I need to strip out to install? |

You shouldn’t need to remove the cubby if you have the bulkhead delete. Have a look under it from the back and the loom connector will be there facing the rear. From memory it is orange.

No doesn't appear to be anything there, it was more a question of the routing of a new loom??

My/our new loom has two branches: 1 routes across the tunnel then up to the headunit; another goes down under the seatbox and across to the battery box for power.
The original sub wiring is built into the bulkhead loom and arrives at the sub from the branch which runs underneath the seatbox. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

thanks Martin so probably easiest to strip some of the carpet out to route..........
presumably the power side would handle an extra USB charger added in as need to sort a cubby supply at the same time?? |

You should be able to flip up one side (left/UK passenger) of the tunnel carpet.
Yes I could provide a branch for a permanent fed socket 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

So thanks to Martins loom we now have a fully installed / working LR Sub and have also added some power in the cubby to run a USB port to charge the boys iPod Touch that has been commandeered to provide extra library duties for more moosic......
