Or just go with the coils, unless you really need the extra height.
4 months I’ve had mine, no regrets not taking the air suspension. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

Use to be able to get emergency air up kit for the RRS, carried a set for our off road trips, pump up with your tyre compressor and hey presto, be interested to see if a similar system becomes available for the Defender. Some EAS could be permanently fitted.. yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

One call with a LR dealership suggested that if I’m keeping the vehicle for longer than 12 years then coils would be a ‘good option’. ![]() |

The same could be said of any option that adds further complexity to a vehicle. I’d just go for what was needed for my application. If the extra height adjustment flexibility and comfort are things that you’ll think you will benefit from. Consider it. But if not, the coils feel great apparently too, just opt for those, and save the £1600 upfront expense, and the potential extra maintenance down the road. See if you can test drive both types. 4B4B, to test drive both for me is a must. I’m very interested to see the difference and is it worth the extra.
I know how the extra complexity can play with your mind - when away away ![]() Cheers Glenn |
