I’ve just picked up this ex utility board 130, it’s done over 200k but drives great
Really happy with it, I’m going to convert it to an off-road camper with a Marshall’s ambulance body, I’ve seen a few and really caught the bug! First jobs, the wheels need balancing so I’m going to get them refurbed at the same time. I need to remove and sell the quadtech body. Thanks for the encouragement guys
We visited Jackson’s @ the rocket site today, they have some toys! I didn’t have a lot of time, could have spent all day there They have stock of unused defenders from 2012-15 Click image to enlarge We’ve got one of the last pulse bodies in stock, it looks in decent condition, the door handle’s already fallen off ! Lots of work to do Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The chassis has to be modified to handle the pulse body, it’s not too complicated, I need to find someone around Birmingham willing to take on the job, if anyone has recommendations? Nice!
I'm assuming you took the path of buying a tdci and then an ambulance body instead of a "ready made" 130 ambo for sake of updated interior and driveline? But, commendation is also in order for leaving L Jackson's only with what you'd planned to buy. I could very easily have sneaked an M1070 on the back of your trailer too if I wasn't totally focused on the task at hand... Lol, everything is for sale in that place
As I've had the 110 TDCI for a few years, I'm used to the 'mod cons'! Wolf ambulances are going for £29k+vat, they have new puma converted ambulances for £58k+vat. The prices are going up a thousand every few months! Jit Instagram @magars_on_tour |

Probably jumping the gun here, but have you thought about what colour you may go for? If you are respraying it, would you go for a non-factory colour? I'm forever mocking people who do a complete respray to a different colour only for it to be a boring factory offered grey, black, or silver... Stuart

Well I think it will have to match my 110 - Loire blue. But I will probably only do the cab, it’s metallic and not so hard wearing, I’m thinking of raptor for the ambulance body in a matching blue
Plan may change! I don’t think I could pull off Bahama Jit Instagram @magars_on_tour |

Progress has been a bit slow
We’ve emptied out loads of the ambulance kit, lots of drilling rivets, turned into angle grinding Click image to enlarge A load of scrap Click image to enlarge I’ve had the wolf wheels refurbed, balanced and fitted today, look a lot tidier Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Jit Instagram @magars_on_tour |
