Td5 90 side sills - missing?
Hi All,
Removed rock sliders from my Defender 90 and fitted some steps. Bought satin black chequer plate sill protectors only to find that there is nothing to fit them too. This suggests to me , that when the rock sliders were fitted a sill of some description (with brackets/fittings) had previously been removed to accommodate the sliders. Can anyone confirm this is correct thinking and if so what part do I need to replace the void. Looked at parts companies but cannot make sense. Cheers in advance

Yes you remove the side sill when you fit sliders to a Defender. About 50mm in depth, and are just pressed aluminium and held on with small m6 bolts.

Thanks. Yep, from your link , bought the black bits (protectors) but do not have the silvery bits in situ to fit them too. Guessing these are brought separately which is what I need but lack the know how as to what to look up . Pictures on “part “ sites are not clear or particularly informative.
