Very impressive, it'd be pretty "interesting" to drive IMHO.
I note they're using a supercharged LS3, nothing wrong with that, actually plenty RIGHT with it, but for any of you guys considering going down the supercharged route you should check out the "factory" GM "LSA" crate engine, nearly 600HP right out of the box, no mods at all.
Pickles.

Mahker are 4x4 Fabrications, not sure why the name change or if it's just a branch of 4x4 Fab. They certainly seem to be the guys for big Defender builds these days and build for Outlander too. James

Did two engine conversions and also structural and mechanical refurbishment of a RRC. RRC still has to be plumbed in and rewired and then second fix body work and full interior. 👍

A mildly tuned TD5 feels sketchy enough on our roads, then again you do wonder how often some of these mega trucks are actually used or driven in normal circumstances.

I’ve often wondered who is insuring these builds.

From past experience in the industry if the owner is a director they can just add it to the fleet policy and don’t need to declare the (extensive) mods.

I wonder what the view of A Plan is……….. Whistle

Green Light are decent for the mentally modified. I had my Cooper sprint / hill climb car with them. There wasn't a standard part on it and it was running well over 100bhp more than standard and had every bit of the suspension, brakes, drive line etc changed or upgraded and was stripped and harnessed etc, it also had a Cooper S engine fitted and ran on a verity of different parts that got changed nearly every week.

They had a spread sheet of modifications off me and insured me based on its maximum possible BHP and accepted that it would be running different tyres etc all the time.

It was only £350 a year to insure...

Based on my experience with A-Plan and the numerous minor mods I have I don't imagine they would have too much difficulty insuring an LS3! Thumbs Up James
