Ordered some stuff for future projects: hylosil 100 to seal the ATB rear diff I’m about to order. Viscous fan tool to aid the AC installation that isn’t yet delivered.

Been a long time since I've posted on here.
Time has now allowed me to get back in touch with the Defender. Currently in the process of installing a split charge for weekend escapes over the channel with some road bikes. First however is some TLC on the rear crossmember. I love a photo with a reflection, an insight to what is going on behind the lens. You can clearly see Mrs Waldo, back from her cycle, hands on hips, watching you photograph your rear end whilst thinking 'oh god, yet another photo of his Defender. Does he even realise I'm standing here?' . Mrs Grenadier (and no doubt most of our SWMBOs) would be exactly the same Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Grenadier.... she has actually been involved throughout!! We had just got back from a cycle to a message asking for photos of the days achievements from a fellow land rover but (my uncle).
A bit more progress today. Electrics all laid out onto some mock up wooden boards (templates. Part way through putting all the cables on and the will transfer it all across to aluminium sheet tomorrow and into the LR on Wednesday. Thoughroughly recommend doing a mockup outside of the seat box before installing to anyone putting a system in. You can get a lot done with easy access. Actually, the mat is more of a symbolic marker post for the end of one chapter of my load area project. The MSS locker has gone in. This prevented the use of the lowest brackets for the cargo barrier so I made up some of my own to bolt onto the rear of the locker itself. The CP wheel arch panels are in creating a more useful flat load area. Still need to paint the plastic window trims before they are refitted. And haven’t yet decided what to do about lashing points. I have 6 OEM LR D-loops but also have some unwin cargo rail available too. It all boils down to how many holes I can bring myself to drill in the rear tub!
