Someone fiddling with your fuel filler/EV cap isn’t exactly the first form of vandalism that springs to mind! Cheers, David

Thank you for all the pics. Could you do one last one of the boot with the seats folded down? I'm wondering if with the hump it is completely flat...

How are you guys finding the PHEVs then?

I borrowed a Velar p400e over the weekend and was really impressed, even when the battery is flat you still get a decent benefit (it’s still way more elegant than just the usual stop-start, for example) Cheers, David

Netherlands 1986 Defender 90 V8 Petrol CSW Auto Tonga Green
in my opinion it's an amazing machine, enjoy every mile.... off course big is better, we all love the rumble of a v8... but the world has changed and if this is the efforts i need to make, i call it a day Smile
...pure elektric it beats a ferrari (some kind), it's crazy fast for such a big car.
most of the time i drive hybrid, best of both worlds. it's impossible to feel or notice when the petrol engine fires up or shutting down.

It's not a Tesla you can drive for few hours, and no, it's not a ferrari, but over 400 BHP with instand power and smooth acceleration without loosing to many space, big plus and here in holland, the P400e is by far the cheapest Defender because of less tax.... the 2022 model year improved screen and interior is big step forward by the way.....

Only downside; why why why not put in big good stereo, the Meridian Sound System is very mellow.... which I don't understand. why put premium name and premium price tag on this system. For the HSE trim level you can choose the Merian surround system, whicjh is more expensive and also sounds worse. Maybe i'll install after market custom speakers from; Gladen, Mosconi, GermanMaestro, on DSP.

Always choose for the clearview digital rear mirror by the way. We've selected the jumpseat in front and i love it. (makes it a 6 persons carrier) Last but not least; big wheels and fat (offroad) tyres....

Sorry for bad english, i'm from europe!

sidestep lights
Hi DEFENDER_V8

Are those sidesteps the LR Defender sidesteps, or 3rd party? I have not seen them with lights before?

Anyone got any good pics of the left side of the boot interior?

That reviewer in France seems to have a whole load of the left side taken up by additional gubbins. Presumably the bits and bobs (compressor etc?) that don’t fit under the boot because of the batteries.

Bit worried that the P400e has a much less usable rear cargo area… Cheers, David

Review on autocar.co.uk today, though not particularly informative. They like it, at any rate

I think their pricing is a bit off, from £40,400 Rolling with laughter

Back in 2019 it was possible to get a 90 at that price

Autocar’s “price from” is notoriously rubbish. Hasn’t been right for any car for years
