Definitely need to get a pressure gauge plumbed in to see what is going on. How many miles on engine? Good quality filters?

Thank you for your reply.
I'm just over 160,000. I always use good oil and filters. Normally shell oil and MANN filters. I will order a kit to measure pressure. |

I have tested the oil pressure and all seems fine.
I replaced the oil pressure switch and it behaved normally for about a week or so. Oil pressure is 3+ Bar cold idle and 5+ bar cold. I fitted my Roof tent this weekend and went to move it today and oil light on I was planning all the mods and adventures to have in the Land Rover last night and today back to broken Double checked and pressure is fine..... So I'm assuming wiring/electrical fault. I could not see any issue with the wiring from what I could see but it's inside a plastic conduit over the gearbox. What would you suggest? Should I replace the wire back the the plug under the seat with a new one? Any other suggestions. Thank you! |

It’s not a problem I’ve come across before, but I would run a temporary wire and see how that effects things.
