Caravan towing
How do you connect the Alko hitch without removing the spare wheel? I moved two caravans for friends and both times had to remove the spare.

if its anything like the old defender you remove the handle from the alko anti sway hitch and buy a removable handle for it

Maybe stop doing favours for friends with caravans Laughing Can you not hitch up with rear door open?

Tis a pain.
Yes I hitch with the rear door partially open. You can manage to do it, keeping an eye of the jockey wheel not hitting the door, and sliding the ALKO hitch under the door. A faff! 2020 First Ed 110.

I never remove my spare wheel to hitch my caravan.......I usually have the rear door open whilst hitching.

Mine just clears in off road height. Although like already said, I hitch up with the door open. Close the door after locking the hitch, then raise the jockey wheel.

It’s a faff but we did want it to be like the old Defender! 😉 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
