Parasitic load/quiescent load on a TD5 2001 90

Hi, can anyone give me an idea of what the current draw from my battery should be when everything is off? I don't have an alarm or any fancy add on's. I have looked on the forum and I see 25ma is a figure I should be aiming for. Just wondered if anyone can confirm please?

Are you sure? My first Defender had constant drain and it turned out to be an old mid 90s tracker unit hidden, and the battery backup on it had long since expired, an auto electrician traced it in the end, worth mentioning just in case.

Well Mike, now you mention it I do have a tracker. I'll unhook it and see what I get then. Thanks for the memory jogger!

Still be interested in the "normal" current draw though. Mike

I had a parasitic load on my 90, it was water ingress in an interior light. nobody is perfect but being Scottish is a start

I've taken another look at the "issue". It appears that the Truck is indeed drawing around 25ma when idle. Acceptable in my book. Now the things I have added made for the total of around 135ma.

Truck 25ma
Flashing LED on the dash 20ma (need to rethink this one)
Tracker, now unused 25ma
Deployable step 65ma!! (Need to look at that ASAP. Easy fix so will be onto that in a few days.) Mike
