Been looking at memory map and I *think* we should be able to have a go at getting from Oxford to Salisbury Plain via Green Lane.

Its not a direct route and some of the sections will definatly be closed (the Ridgeway for example closes on Oct 1st) but it should still be a good day.

Dan -

Shall we give your lanes up in the north of the county and go first and see how far we get heading South? 2002 Defender 110 DC

Hi 29

I have had the recent update from the Range Warden and the Plain is clear of any live firing for the weekend of the 8/9th October.

I have been asked by another member if i will take them onto the Plain and i had already arranged for the 9th. If you would like we can arrange a catch up on the day. I have emailed the others that came out with me last time to see if they are free. We will be entering the Plain from Bulford ranges in the south east.

Do you have memory map? If you give me your email i will send you a copy of mine plus the data plus the update from the Warden.

The plain is great loads of lanes, would love to join you but son has rugby match on that day so need to be there.

I do indeed have memory map - my email is in my profile I believe.

If we have more folks interested we could always split into 2 groups, I am not fussed either way really.

Yeah, out on SPTA the small hamlets are all over the place. mainly made from 4 or 8 ISO containers arranged in a square.

As stated above, I will NOT be posting directions etc on an open forum, as that way anyone can turn up whenever they like and trash the lanes, or gatecrash our event which leads to the lanes being overloaded. You are very welcome to join us, if you click accept, then I will PM everyone the details once everything is finalised. The start point will be in North Oxfordshire. Then plan then is to head south, via couple of fords and lanes, and work our way towards Salisbury plain assuming it is open on those dates (can anyone confirm this?)

I apologise again for the date mix-up, hope most folks can still come. 2011 110 USW
