I wonder who pays for that?

You are added to their insurance so I'm guessing it's not down to the customer or maybe the excess will be.

I had agreed to test the 90 as the 110 wasn't available, they are giving me a 110 next week so it has in a way worked out better for me. I gathered the 110 they are giving me is not a normal demonstrator but is one of the staff allocated cars whatever that means.

Is there a problem getting windscreens? You would have thought that they would be a stock item. Thumbs Up Cheers Ian

Some nice Reds, Blues, Greens....

Definitely, the colour choice is very poor IMHO, I would never have another black Land Rover as my last D4 was black and you could scratch it just be looking at it Laughing I would love an Aintree green one, the Pangea green does nothing for me. Cheers Ian

Get a white one, and wrap it? Mine is Carpathian grey and looks great (IMO) but it cost £1800!! 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

At the local dealership I use a “staff allocated car” is a car that is used as a daily runner by one of the sales team - the guy I usually deal with at Pentland Stirling just changed his from a D5 to a 90HT, those cars can be used as demos if the salesman is in that day or it is pre-booked for a day when he is working from the showroom. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

That had crossed my mind, I was originally planning on an X Dynamic HSE in white but now the XS looks better value. But, that's only available in Gondwana Stone, Santorini Black or Hakuba silver which are included in the price or there is a £905 option of Silicon Silver. I'll probably plumb for Hakuba Silver and will look into getting it wrapped a more favourable colour to me. Cheers Ian

Yeah there was a bit of a wait. A couple of members on here are waiting on windscreens. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I hope someone at JLR is paying attention and gets that colour on the options list for next year.

For all the fanfare they made about personalisation at the launch, the colour palette so far has been fairly ordinary. Is it a capability thing at Nitra?

Nothing to do with Nitra, the colour palette is equally bland on models built in the UK.

They could offer every colour under the sun but people will still buy the dull blacks, greys and whites. I like a blue car but if I can’t get blue I generally go white as there’s nothing else worth paying for, my D5 being the exception as I went for orange. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Question

When you have a colour change via a wrap, do you need to inform the DVLA. I know its not permanent but surly the police would need to be aware at the very least.

I always thought no, but I’m not 100% sure.

Had a quick google and yes DVLA should be notified. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
