I'am working at the moment to modify the Thule Edge Wingbar 9595 ( M +L), the set 3040 sits in my opinion to high.
I want to bring it back to 2" ( If you have the roof rails..) ![]() Click image to enlarge |

That looks interesting, do you have any photos of them fitted to the car?
What I can from the photos you made a slightly smaller bracket and replaced the rubber “adapter” with thin layer of rubber or there are some other modification too? 3.0L MHVE D200 S Pangea Green+Black Pack Adv. + Off-Road and Family Packs |

I made a new bracket, basicly the same size as the Thule. Drilled the 2 holes almost 9 or 10mm lower.
Sorry no pictures mounted, awaiting on my 90. Next step when mounted is to shave the side covers so they will sit neat and look good. |

That’s looks great.
Do you have a photo of the final version of the bracket by any chance? Did you have to trim the plastic cover? 3.0L MHVE D200 S Pangea Green+Black Pack Adv. + Off-Road and Family Packs |

@G4R1
I will post a picture soon of the modified bracket, rubber, T-slot slider, 40 mm width with 8mm slotbolt Only a very little trimming of the endcaps, managed to keep them almost original. In the meantime I keep continuing modifiying my Bestop Cargo Rack with Scepter Fuel & Water and researching the mounting possibility for Hi-Lift jack on the rear. I'm looking to add a roof box and possible an awning to our new 90, we have already specced the roof rails. Obviously the Thule roof box goes with the Thule bars but can I also fit an awning onto these Thule bars? i'm looking at an ARB / Rhino-Rack Batwing Awning.
