This all sounds positive. I did ask whether I could get 'add-ons' before I pick up from the dealers - e.g. cross bars, side steps and mud flaps - but for some reason they didn't respond. They also didn't respond when I asked about changing the spec slightly (I was going back and forth between the Diesel engine options). Looking forward to the end of next month though - if it all goes according to plan.

The add-ones you list are all dealer fit accessories, but there have been supply problems recently with many of the dealer fit bits which is possibly why they didn’t respond., they don’t know if they will have stock when your car comes in, best to buy them over the counter and ask them to keep them for you.
Regarding changing the engine spec you are possibly too close to build date to change it now. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

I ordered the dealer fit accessories the same day when placed an order for the car.
They were waiting at the dealer until car has arrived. 2021 Defender 90 D250 1998 TUL 1997 TUM FFR 2003 Defender 110SW Td5 1985 ExMOD 110 ST 3.9 V8 1971 Series IIa Lightweight |

do they cost more for dealers to fit if done outside the configurator? Or are the prices the same? I would appreciate your insight. Thanks.

Depends if you get them fitted by the dealer as all accessories prices on the configurator include fitting. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

With all the future delivery delays I decided to cancel my order — the latest delivery date was confirmed as October.
With the summer then well over so decided to purchase one of the current and short supply stock cars . Well pleased with my decision . |

It seems JLR (US) think there is a silver lining for them in chip delays:

It seems supply issues are impacting right across the board in terms of pricing; and new dealer stock may represent better value than used ones bought in: Click image to enlarge |

I have an update! Got this from my dealer today, have until the 14th of June for any changes. Seems to have taken forever for order to be confirmed and seems different from what others have had but looks like I have at least been acknowledged that I ordered a car in April now. |

I ordered mine and paid deposit on 1st June, when do you find out about the prospective build date? I have a feeling that I mightnt see the car in 2021. How long is too long?

Blue smoke, nice to see some progress. I ordered mid April and have a build date of 13/08, expected delivery early/mid Sept, so you're beating me! Fingers crossed everything is on time for you. You'll have to post some pictures for the rest of us
