I have just changed a defender tdci gearbox in a 110 usw for a local tree surgury firm - lost reverse gear after 49,000miles
Spoke to Ashchroft who do not recon these boxes yet but David sold me a second hand unit with 21,000 miles Very helpful Make sure you change clutch aswell Chris Bowler |

I have a used gearbox (38,800km) but worn out output shaft that goes in between gear and transfer box and couldn't find the spare part without waiting for over a month so swapped the gear box out for another, anyway I haven't been able to sell it and was about to chuck it out, if you want you can have it for free well, if you pay for the shipping that is, as it's of no use to me. 2012 Fuji White 110 Flattened |

Try David Kingsnorth at Lookers.
He said he can get me a remanufactured one for £1,495 + VAT for a project I am looking at. Not sure of the availabilty though. Bob |

Thanks for all the input here. Had to go away for work and have got back to the problem not yet being fixed! Also didn't have notifications turned on so missed all this help coming in. Sorry!
Local specialist was convinced it was detent springs... turns out he was wrong and his farting about just cost me two weeks. Ahhhhhhh. Still no further along.... |
