The 90 had its first trip to dealers today to investigate its mystery noise, no fault found was the result. I think me playing with the heat shield solved the issue as it’s never made sound since. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Yes you have probably fixed it, another owner got LR assist out and he bent it too much where it caused it to rub elsewhere so he had to get them back out the following day to readjust it.

It’s now naked

Fitted the load space tread plate

And the pedals, a bargain from Brit Car, £32 if I recall. Powerful UK want £160 for the same thing and LR want £100.

J77,

Ref :- noise and the rear heat shield. We’ve had LRA out twice to ours and have raised the issue with LRCS.

They have requested our dealer investigate and feedback their findings.

The car is in today for that so we’ll see what happens.

It looks clear when stationary but under load (braking or reversing up our drive) the rear subframe flexes on the mountings and fouls. You could see the rub marks on the rear coupling.

It only needs shortening by about 3mm to totally clear the coupling - that’s what I’ve told the master Tech at the dealer.

J77,

You fixing it part of the issue - expedient though it might be.

We’ve been told by our friendly Master Tech that as many dealers as possible need to raise an “EPQR” form back to Land rover technical or nothing will get done.

They need a “weight of evidence” that there is a problem before acting.

Everyone with this issue needs to go down that route before a TSB or modified part is issued.

Dealer checked it over when it went in, don’t know if they raised anything with LR.

It’s going back in 31st to get side steps fitted, this time I’ll be there in person so I’ll chat to them about it. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

It seems LR Assist are getting quite skilled in bending things...

Had a 290 mile road trip around Loch Lomond and Loch Linnie into Fort William, averaged 39mpg.

Seams that’s where the 90’s are hiding. A nice Black one at Firkin point.

Considering I deleted the centre console from my spec and LR chose to fit it anyway, it’s come in handy
