Exactly. Thermocouples are ok for generating signal voltage to drive something like a temp gauge, but enough to charge a phone? Yeah right, if it were that easy why do power stations employ the complex and expensive principle of using heat to turn water in to steam to drive turbines to turn traditional electro-magnetic generators?

Obviously the steam method is far more efficient, but I don't think there's quite room for that in this stove

I don't think it's too bad an idea, after all it's energy that would otherwise be wasted. Wouldn't want to rely on it for charging the GPS or something else critical though.
