Hi, recently joined and been watching / searching for help, any pointers appreciated.
110 Td5 Heritage, year 2000, owned for 2 months now. sometimes the red light in speedo flickers on, sometimes off, sometimes on constant _ is this connected to factory alarm / immobiliser please? The key fob seems to work intermittently also, could it be a flat battery in fob. ( both fobs do the same. And horn alarm drives me mad) Thanks in advance, Paulo Paul RB |

Just remember to follow the procedure in your handbook when fob battery changing. Then once battery changed go outside the vehicle with doors closed click the lock button on the fob four times and it will re sync. Then unlock with fob and make sure it is on the same key ring as the ignition key when starting .
Here is the process for fob battery change https://www.defender2.net/forum/post832168.html#832165 Last edited by Ianh on 9th May 2021 7:44pm. Edited 1 time in total |
