Lions Squad

Thoughts?

Clad to see Simmonds has made it, not surprising that Billy V has missed out as he isn’t in great form. Elliott Daily is a surprise as his form hasn’t been great either. Starting 10 will be an interesting choice.

No Slade or Nowell. Slade is a shock as he is so versatile. Nowell might only be a couple of games back from injury but always brings something. Gary Ringrose missing out is a shocker as well, he had a great 6N and has continued the good form.

Ben Youngs, Marler and Genge apparently all took themselves out of contention. All young families, and it’s a big commitment to be away from them that long I suppose.

I think the poor form of England in the 6N has hurt players such as Sinkler, Slade and Billy V. Versatility has been covered by including Daly I think, as he’s been named as centre but can play full back or wing as well.

I think Sexton would’ve been worth including because of his experience, potential leadership and link up with Murray, even if not starting great player to have at the ready.

The debate could go on, I’m glad I’m not the one selecting! Will be interesting to see how we get on. Alex
