Jaunt Motors - EV conversions
Nice looking conversions from this Aussie outfit.

Apologies if already posted. I had a search but couldn’t find anything. Perhaps we need an EV section to keep in one place? WARNING.

I’ve had a look at their site and it is very interesting.

I am presuming the fact that they are not advertising any prices then it is likely to frighten interested parties.

I think it is quite interesting the way that this sector of the industry is progressing, perhaps there may come a point
when it becomes a viable proposition to have vehicles converted, I am sure it will come!

I am amazed at the speed that the automotive industry has managed to adapt and produce a range of ev’s at a
Reasonably affordable price bracket, considering how long the internal combustion engine has existed, it is quite
impressive ( I think anyway )

However, I am still not convinced that the 2030 target will be achievable given the infrastructure that is required to produce the electricity needed for all the supposedly replacement electric vehicles that we will be buying.

There is the issue of range ( or lack of ) that these vehicles are currently capable of coupled with the availability of charging points etc. We can’t all afford to drive Tesla’s with the supposed range that they can achieve.

As I said, the technological advances in this sector are impressive but in the meantime until these issues can be addressed and overcome the hybrid route I think is where we will be headed in the interim.

What I do find quite funny is when I hear people say that it only cost’s about 6 pence to charge their vehicles at home.
When the approximately £30 billion per year that the exchequer receives in taxation from the Petro Chemical Industry disappears then perhaps that 6 pence may rise ever so slightly!

But getting back to the original post, I definitely covet on of those vehicles, especially if I could live and drive it there 😁

I am sorry but I don't see any point in retaining a whiney old series transmission behind a electric motor and are most of these converters relying on Tesla accidents for components?

I think Twisted is about £70k, so not that different. Would be interesting to know the differences.

Still a long way from my target price of £20k!

When I spoke to the Dutch company that does the Twisted EV conversion, the price was about £30k.
