Presumably it had a 'new' ID......
Cars are a bit of an odd one and yet another time when big business over the little guy...... A vehicle alwyas belongs to the original owner and if paid out then ownership passes to the Insurance company and they retain full rights ongoing........ I know someone that was in this exact scenario having unknowingly bout a 'ringer' - they eventually managed to sort a deal with the insurance but effectively paid for the vehicle twice and then had to take out civil proceedings against the original seller |
