2000 Defender 130 2.5 TD HCPU Chawton White

Chinese 9" touch screen?

Ive had a slide out Eneon 7" touch screen for about 8 years in my 2000 TD5. It served me well. I liked the GPS/mapping and the radio was reasonable in a noisy defer. It finally packed it in and I was thinking of putting in a larger 9" touch screen. Not looking to cut in a double DIN so a slate style system would be best or one with a 1DIN base unit. I was specifically looking for one with built in GPS and good mapping and split screen capability and camera inputs for reverse. Anyone had any luck with any particular maker of the Chinese variety? It's not as clear these days which ones are junk. Thanks for your input.

If you want some more inspiration.....have a look on the sister site to this one Disco3.co.uk. Some guys on there have done some amazing work to create an almost Tesla like screen in the Discovery using some “Oriental” components. Looks very very slick and totally configurable how you want.
I don’t think the Defender has enough stuff on the Can Bus to make it worth it .....but who knows.

Don’t suppose you’ve any links to that tomcat, would be interesting to see how they’ve done it.
