2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 DCPU Stornoway Grey

For a great sounding td4 you have to decat/de-dpf. Re Suspension (Germany) are doing one that is sounding great even with dpf on.

Sorry to hyjack this thread but if I didn’t want to de-cat/de-DPF, where would you go to get a good replacement exhaust but retaining the bits that everyone else wants to get rid of?

Seriously considering a demand straight DFP back for my 2025 2.2. Won’t be any louder, but will save weight and heat in the truck. The huge center box gets hot and is heavy! Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭

Removing the dpf will require a remap and could also cause turbo problems as the turbo needs a certain amount of back pressure

I need to replace the centre section on mine due to a split on the seam on the centre silencer. Demand were recommended by the independent who does the servicing so I ordered a new centre and rear section from them.

The front section on my 110 is still solid and I wasn't up for the remap and potential emmissions/MOT issues from removing the DPF. No idea what I'll do when the time no doubt comes to also do the front section.

Delivery is due today so a weekend of installing some new shiny bits awaits

As far as I can remember Pete Bell suggested to leave one or both silencers after dpf removal so the turbo won't overspool. The ECU needs a recalibration of course. In an old thread (when Pete still was a sponsor) he posted a video of a rally build with a 3inch straight through system. That truck sounded amazing but also quite conspicous 😅 ___________________________________
