He certainly did and I was there with him at the time - it was a 2.2 Defender and we tested about 4 or 5 RAI (snorkels) on the rolling road and every one reduced the BHP by about 10

We tried the tops facing forwards, backwards and with/without forced air and even took everything off the Defender and tried it with an open wing vent and the power was no different

Having taken part in various winch events I think the issue with the new Defender is 2 fold, firstly the electrics as even thought LR say everything is IR67 rated I would not like to try that out and secondly, the car will simply float at the std wading depth of 900mm  Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

"UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

D3 was much the same - it was quite unnerving crossing the lake at Tong in a dealership D3 ( ) feeling the car attempt to float and the air suspension driving the wheels on to the lake bed with super extended mode in an attempt to stop it!  Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
