Might be worth delving into a bit. On my 2015 when in mud (tree farms) I lock the diff and turn off stability. The traction control works very effectively.
Regarding the light in the instrument cluster, I can only recall it coming on if I drive on pavement, in wet, like a hooligan. Roaming around 🇳🇴🇨🇭 |

Your 110 would have a similar acting setup to the D2 With a ETC system only working on comparing LH to RH wheel speeds but only working individual axles. The thinking is on the defender the CDL would naturally be locked or in the D2 the CDL might not be present to be locked. I would do things like making sure the brake pads are good and the pistons are free in the calipers. Post 2011 the ETC went over to a Bosch system which compares all 4 corners and anecdotally does seem to be a bit more reactive when it comes to controlling wheel spin. Either way even the early puma systems was good and you shouldn't of had any problems unless your really asking the impossible. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest |
