United Kingdom 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Fuji White
Best Exhaust system for 2.2
Hi All,

Just bought me defender last week! And looking to improve the exhaust system just so that it sounds a bit better and louder.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks
Charlotte Very Happy

Demand Engineering would be my choice.

They made me a custom 3” exhaust for my 90, and it’s a lovely bit of kit Charlie

I have a stainless steel one from Alive tuning, very well made and makes a minor change to the exhaust note. 2015 HT XS 90

I have the Twisted one on my tdi and the Demand one on my tdci I cannot really see a difference in the quality
between both items but at half the price of the Twisted one, Personally, my money would be on the Demand Engineering exhaust. Plus having spoken to the owner of Demand, there would be a certain amount of customisation available to your exhaust which you won’t get with Twisted.

I've got a Demand one sitting in the garage waiting to go on the 110, the workmanship is outstanding. Dan from Demand couldn't have been more helpful during the ordering process and was more than happy to make a few mods at my request. 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

I can't praise Demand enough. Great engineering and service. Dan is so helpful.

It’s getting fitted in a couple of weeks, so I’ll be able to report back then!

It looks top notch though. I’ve used Dan’s products in the past and I wouldn’t go elsewhere now.

It’s a full 3” system with no silencers and an imitation CAT in the downpipe. Charlie

Chris, here is a picture of my 3" system on our 110. There is a wonderful owl hoot when changing gear. BTW I would opt for a side exit for a number of reasons.

Thanks Peter - looks awesome, I would prefer the standard 90 exit position TBH. Rgds.

Thanks, I enquired with Twisted about this and remap too, so you cant notice much of a difference with their exhaust?

Mine’s a Td5, so any exhaust makes a huge difference.

A mate of mine did a full DPF back straight-through on his 2.2 and you couldn’t tell.

Really you need to pull out the DPF to get noise from a 2.2’s exhaust. Charlie
