Correct Servo
Hi all,

I need to replace the non-ABS servo due to poor braking but having issues trying to figure out what servo do I have in my 90 2002 300tdi, can't figure with the VIN nr. as this was assembled in Brazil and got a complete different VIN than the UK ones.

From what I understand, up to HA701009 there are 2 types of servos (type 50 and 80) recognisable by the diameter and the valve location, part nrs. are NRC4775 and NRC 4772 respectively. From HA7010010 up to LA939975, the correct part is STC442, which I think is the one I have by looking a the diagram, now there is another part nr. STC4322 from HA7010010 as well. Is it the same as STC442? Which one applies from LA939976?

So I guess mine should be either STC442 or NRC4772 (type 80)

Thanks for your help.

It’s not a type 80, it is stc442. And the reason your brakes are poor is visible in the photo!

Thank you both for the prompt response. STC442 it is, which has been replaced by STC4322.

Yeah, the leak is pretty evident and the servo does not work at all.

I just wanted to make sure I was ordering the correct part as shipping from the UK is quite expensive.

Cheers.
