It also sounds like Ford might have messed up not only the Bronco launch but the new F150 and the Explorer then it’s ditched “sedans” with the only “car” type vehicle being built Stateside being an EV that the dealers don’t want to sell....... Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Other than some very particular markets, I think South Korea is one, the rest of the world seem to have gone very cold on sedans.

I can't see that going down well with Julian Thomson. He's perfectly capable of doing the job himself; interesting to see who's come to his defense : Ian Callum (@IanCallum) Tweeted: @Carscoop Let me say it had never been Design of late that has held Jaguar back. It’s volume and costs ! Gerry can’t sort that. Jaguar has won more design awards than Land Rover. And tell me... what is so old fashioned about an XE, F Pace or indeed a F Type? https://twitter.com/IanCallum/status/1339641836911116288?s=20 Last edited by Supacat on 6th May 2021 4:59am. Gerry's PR people have been working overtime of late. I wish he would spend time promoting the brands than himself. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/feature...ectric-era WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

The looks of both a jag and Land Rover are not the problem. They need to fix the quality and stop having a range of models that all compete with each other. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

@ Supacat.....
Yes, imagine if LR developed some kind of mini Jimny type vehicle; it would be so crammed of technology and ECU's, it would be about as reliable as the new defender. the Jimny is nice and basic and reliable (maybe it has the Japanese reliability built in) but not tonnes of unwanted add on cr@p/interior light colours/traction aids/touch screen/cameras that don't work. KISS.... works every time! |

Well the writing was on the wall. A pity for the brand: "Jaguar design boss Julian Thomson to leave firm this month https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industr...firm-month |

Just wondering where the reliability bashing still get fuelled from? I have 2 new on the go changing one every 6-9 months, I’ll go with 16-20 in the last 8-10 yrs, I don’t recognise this reliability bashing real world, however unfashionable that is Mike |

Is that in the same fashion as Nelson at Copenhagen? Two recent JD Power studies: Vehicle Dependability Study ~ At the bottom of the list is Land Rover, Jaguar third from bottom. Customer Service Index Study ~ Second from the bottom of the list is Land Rover, Jaguar third. https://www.defender2.net/forum/post890747...wer#890747 Then there's the huge warranty costs, acknowledged by JLR as being an issue, and discussed on several threads on here. Finally, just listenen to the words from the new boss: "Jaguar Land Rover loses more than 100,000 sales annually due to customer perception of quality issues with its models, CEO Thierry Bollore said" https://www.defender2.net/forum/post888852...ore#888852 Pretty hard not to recognise a single one of those things, but when you add them together... |

Another senior design bod has left ~ Alister Whelan.
Jaguar F-Type and F-Pace Interior Designer Joins Chinese EV Maker NIO "You may recognize his name if you appreciated the interior of the Jaguar I-Pace, but also the cockpit of the F-Pace and the F-Type. What makes the move even more interesting is that Whelan had been with Jaguar Land Rover for 21 years, almost the same as Julian Thomson, another former Jaguar designer who left the company earlier this year." https://www.autoevolution.com/news/jaguar-...70893.html |
