Pivi Pro ..losing profile and google maps issue
Hi

We have a new 90S and Pivi system keeps losing our driver profile. The in-control on my car logs me out a fair bit but I hadn’t seen anyone say it was an issue in Pivi? Also we have the sat nav to show the google sat image .. when we first set it up it was on the. Main screen and also on the drivers display (not full screen .. we have the speed dial in the middle) for some reason now the drivers display just has basic map even though all set to google earth .. this happened to anyone else?

There is 2 toggles for Satellite - in the Pivi Setting - you need them both on to show it on both screens. Then obviously select Navigation View on the Dash Screen.

If they are all selected - no ideas..

The profile thing is a known issue apparently, due to be fixed in an update.

Satellite maps will only show when the car has a connection to 3G/4G mobile network, it will default to the base mapping otherwise. Check the car is connected properly.

^^^ So if you've not got the built in data connection, is one linked to your phone (via Bluetooth) good enough? Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

All UK cars have the built in infotainment data connection, with a years subscription included in the purchase price. Most other markets too, although some have a SIM slot where you have to put your own data SIM in instead.

All of the above is separate to the car’s management eSIM which it uses for remote updates etc. - all vehicles have this and t is a separate connection to the infotainment one.

Cheers - I've realised that despite being a serious techie I've actually asked a stupid question - I really want to get the Satellite view up in the dash on mine! Thumbs Up Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Check that your mobile data is enabled and working! I have the eSIM version, and sometimes when I start the car, mobile data will not work. I have to reset Pivi, and that usually fixes it.
