Reading the website I think they are used as a extra fixing and don't in themselves stop the lifting of the bonnet.
I suppose they'd be good if you could fix a big rubber bumper on the top with a security fixing to stop it going vertical. |

Whats to stop somebody coming along with a 6mm allen key and a 13mm spanner and undoing the bolt?

i've been thinking about bolting a steel cable under the bonnet at the back edge somewhere [even rivit it to a rib] and then to the bulkhead so you can still open the bonnet fully. if you know laptop security it would be a bit like the kensington locks.
it won't stop the determined thief but it should stop the opportunist thief! thoughts? BM52 |
