Nothing from my dealer so just emailed them for a build date

If I recall, you placed your order a day after me.
I would have though they placed them chronologically. Our order was confirmed with the factory on 17th March and we’ve been given a provisional build date on Vista of 9th July
I may just have to send “another” email to the dealer

Don’t forget that if a dealer has sold their allocation of Defender you may have to wait until they get further allocation or take a car that they have in stock locally or nationwide if you are dealing with one of the big groups like Lookers or Stratstones - often when they take your deposit they don’t mention that they have no order slots left until the next sales period.......... Whop whop, just had an email from the dealer telling me my build date is the 14th May with an ETA to them of 6th June so getting excited now - please remember LR have agreed to help out and bring my build date forwards due to my SVA going back with engine issues and this being a kind of rejection process
What I mean is please don't go back to your dealer complaining my build date is prior to yours even though you may have placed your order prior to me  Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

So the Defender is built and according to the dealer will be with them on the 11th June - they say 24-48 hour turnaround so should be with me by the 15/16th (would be earlier but the 11th is a Friday)

Just been told the date has been pushed back to the 2nd July so not a happy chap at the moment as there may be further delays.
Apparently some of the latest production have not been finished due to shortages even though they show as built and off the production line   Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

I called the dealer for an update yesterday at 3pm - he asked if I had received a letter from LR re the shortages (which I have not) as the system they use had been down for a few days!
He checked and told me the bad news and explained LR we’re having module shortages and building vehicles that would need modules added at a later date - these include the tow system module and various others! So my car was due on the 4th, 11th, 18th June but now not until the 2nd July ffs  Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

Poor show.
I too have not received any correspondence from JLR since ordering. I have only had contact with dealer. Not that I have chased up at all through the order process (I probably should have!) Maybe I’ll call dealer on Monday and see if he has any news as mine had a build date of 8th June and delivery on 29th. I know it doesn’t help but I’m sure it will be worth the wait, just bloody annoying being f***ed around. Ryderoo, mine had a build date of the 14th May so I would deffo be calling the dealer if I were you - seems like delays are now just part of everyday life with no info from LR whatsoever other than the dealers trying to pacify the customer

Contact with dealer yesterday, mine is due with dealer 6th July, delivery was 29th June. He too mentioned parts shortages.
He confirmed it is in build this month. Watch this space I suppose. Whoop whoop my Defender is in the UK and arrived at 06.28 am this morning on a cargo ship called the Delphine from Zeebrugge - just awaiting the call from the dealer saying they have it and I can collect the next day
