My understanding is the latter key fobs with the chrome strip did talk to the latter ALM ECU via a separate RF receiver. However the circa 2012-2014 defenders had the earlier Lucas fobs which paired to the first gen ALM ECU ( not a green 10AS) and that had an integrated RF receiver. |

Yes, from earlier discussions this seems to be the case.
MY 2012 - 2013 ALM CH-12 (black), same fobs as before MY 2014 - 2016 ALM DH (black), not affected by brown-out defect anymore, separate RF module, new fobs with silver strip, simple battery change procedure (no more naked dancing at full moon required ![]() |
